The theme of multilingualism and the arts will be discussed by Brazilian Poet Marluce Lima, who will present her current projects and will read some of her own poems, and by Mother Tongues Festival Director Francesca La Morgia, who will talk about the festival’s mission and the plans for 2020.

Meet the artist

Marluce Lima

Marluce Lima, was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and reborn in the capital of Ireland in 2014. A resident of Dublin, she published her first poems in the collection “Thirty-Two kilos [An Anthology Brazil-Ireland]” by Urutau and with the same publisher, the first poetry book “sou mar” the following year in 2018. She has published English poems in collective projects: FLARE, Poetry M’app and LabeLLit. Marluce organizes a soiree for the Brazilian community (Sarau Maré) and is involved in DIASPORA, international arts and literature magazine in English and Portuguese.
