The See Through Café is a free and open space where you will meet new people who have an interest in art, diversity, community and who
love to learn something new about places, people and creativity.
For the next See Through Café, we are delighted to have as guest speaker Susanne Wawra.
Susanne Wawra is a German artist based in Dublin, working across different media. Ireland has enabled her to explore themes connected to her autobiography of growing up in the former East Germany. After having exhibited extensively in Ireland and beyond, she is now on the cusp of having her first solo show in Germany bringing her right back to her place of origin.
Susanne will talk about the roundabout ways of life and art discussing selected works she has created over the past five years.
Susanne Wawra will also run a workshop in German on Sunday 23rd February, titled “Eigene Geschichte(n) – Own (hi)story”. Find out more about the workshop.
The See Through Café project is curated by visual artist Anca Danila, sociologist Evgeny Shtorn and Mother Tongues Festival curator Francesca La Morgia, presented in collaboration with Rua Red and supported by the South Dublin County Arts Office.
The See Through Café is a monthly event. If you are interested in coming along to future meetings, consider registering for our mailing list. Each month we will send you a reminder about the event.
