This gentle workshop begins in quiet silence, inviting children and their grown-ups to listen closely and be truly present together. By clapping and using their voices, everyone joins in to create a live soundscape that celebrates the power of community and friendship. From this calm beginning, the session moves into Nigerian traditional dance, where small, soft movements and rhythms represent the first steps of finding our own unique way. As the sounds and dancing grow bigger, they reflect the joy of believing in yourself and finding the courage to be heard. It is a beautiful journey from quiet beginnings to confident expression, showing how we can grow as individuals while being supported by the group.

Favour Oluwaseunla Odusola
Favour is a Nigerian-Irish multidisciplinary artist, choreographer and educator based in Dublin. With over 15 years of experience across Africa, Europe and the UAE, he specialises in Afro and contemporary dance, theatre and youth engagement. He is the founder of UMA and co-founder of UMAKOKO and JAIVA, platforms that empower emerging artists and celebrate Afro-dance culture. Favour’s work blends storytelling and movement to inspire, educate and connect diverse communities.
