Draw, Listen, Connect! This interactive workshop introduces children to the ‘Expression of Drawing Practice’, using charcoal to explore symbols, self-expression, and visual storytelling. Get ready to create amazing charcoal drawings in this fun workshop. We’ll explore how different sounds—even our own breath—can change the way we draw. Using cardboard as our canvas, we’ll discover symbols and shapes from different cultures, learning how art tells powerful stories.

Meet the artist
Rony Sidon
Originally from Guadeloupe, Rony Sidon studied Fine Art for three years in Martinique before going on to study further in Toulouse, France, where he obtained his Master’s in Visual Art. He was the assistant to Ben Vautier at Galleries Jacques Girard in Toulouse. Rony has been living and working in Ireland since June 1998. His work is hybrid by nature, enriched by an intense style that overlays materials and symbols reflecting both the countryside and suburban contemporary culture. With the help of an authentic street material, cardboard, Rony constructs his reality using vibrant colours, abstract black lines, and symbols.
