GENRE DOCUMENTARY

The twenty children of section B are all different in attitude, history and origin, yet together they form a cohesive group.
“Il Cerchio” is a documentary narrating the growth of twenty children from first to fifth grade. Within their classroom, the practice of “circle time” (il cerchio in Italian) unfolds: a unique moment where, seated in a circle on the floor, children, the teacher, and the director engage in regular exchanges captured by the camera throughout the five years of primary school. This special documentary creates a privileged listening space where children express their universe, share thoughts, emotions, and discuss their unique perspectives on the world around them.

The film will be screened with English subtitles.
