Unspoken Tongue

Written Word Performance and Happening

20-22 May, Tallaght, Belgard Square

Artists Hina Khan and Tomasz Madajczak engaged in a durational written word performance and public happening. The artists wrote in their native tongues, creating a word art expression. The work consisted of a stream of consciousness, elements of poetry in the artists’ native languages (Polish and Urdu), and the process was open to public engagement. The public was welcome to take part in the performance by engaging in the writing process and by influencing the creative process with their presence and interaction.
