“Love and Charity is about life and making sense of it. Love is the pain and charity the glue. Or vice versa?”
Love and Charity is a provocative theatre experience in which new diverse narratives and languages collide. This performance ends with an open inter-cultural discussion on Love and Charity. This project is part of Women on Women (WoW), a Creative Europe small co-operations fund looking at (re)presentation of women in the arts and in the public domain. Directors and performers: Bernie O’Reilly and Maud Hendricks.
Love and Charity is funded by:
Maud Hendricks and Bernie O’Reilly of Outlandish Theatre Platform experiment with form, content and participatory practice. They hold a residency at the Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital, where one in three babies is born to a non-Irish born mother. Maud and Bernie believe in cultural democracy and collaborate with people who would like to explore through performance making. Every Wednesday night they host Open Theatre Practice at CWIUH. With a diverse group of community participants they explore themes like Love and Charity in a process whereby the performer, maker and audience member are interchangeable. The intricate performances invite you to explore further and express more.
