Ein kreativer Workshop mit der deutschen Künstlerin Susanne Wawra zum Blick auf Erinnerungen der Vergangenheit und des Schreibens unser eigenen Geschichte(n). Die Künstlerin gibt einen kurzen Einblick in ihre Arbeit und eigene Geschichte ihrer Kindheit in der ehemaligen DDR. Für jeden der einen persönlichen Einblick in die deutsche Geschichte haben möchte und der mit Worten und Bildern spielen mag. Die Teilnehmer stellen eine Collage her und schreiben einen kurzen Brief.

A creative workshop with the German artist Susanne Wawra looking at memories of the past and the writing of our own (hi)story. The artist gives a brief insight into her work and her own story of her childhood in the former GDR. For anyone who wants to have a personal insight into German history and who likes to play with words and pictures. The participants make a collage and write a short letter. 

Susanne Wawra is a German artist based in Dublin. She studied Painting at the National College of Art and Design after moving to Ireland in 2007 for a job. Susanne has a degree in Communication & Media and English and is an occasional lecturer at the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at UCD. Her artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally, recently at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, TULCA Galway, Luan Gallery Athlone, Printmaking Biennale Douro Portugal.
