Andrea Giovana Felix Rossi

Andrea Rossi is a Brazilian artist based in Connemara who works through the acrylic medium producing colourful figurative work depicting everyday bucolic lifestyle in a folk manner. She has been painting for the last 20 years and has a degree in Fine Arts and Graphic Design. There is often a narrative aspect about her paintings deriving from local culture, everyday objects, the comforts of home  and the lush colours of the landscapes of the West of Ireland mixed with her south American influences, a visual saturation of patterns, colours and aspects of old and new that connects to the viewer in a nostalgic way.
Her work is very contemporary, varied.  Andrea works from her open studio at the Ceardlann Spiddal Craft Centre amongst other 9 artists.
