The Mother Tongues Festival is the largest festival celebrating linguistic diversity through the arts in Ireland. Originally devised to celebrate the first birthday of its founding organisation and UNESCO’s International Mother Language Day on 21st February, the Mother Tongues Festival has hosted events in over 20 different languages since its inception in 2018.
Mother Tongues Families is a parent and toddler group with a twist! Through a range of interactive activities, our aim is to give these parents the tools they need to support their child’s linguistic development and empower them to support and promote language and communication both inside and outside of the home.
