See Through Cafe invites artists and other creative practitioners to have a virtual 5 o’clock tea together on the Bank Holiday Monday 13th of April at 5 pm to discuss how we can develop our project in the lens of the current global outbreak. In the last month, since the entire globe went on confinement in order to stop this dangerous disease, myriads of theatres, museums, galleries opened their virtual doors.
Nonetheless, a lot of artists are now struggling, left without income, access to their studious, with projects and exhibitions being cancelled or postponed. Thanks to the support of the South Dublin County Council Arts Office we are able to continue our project and we are keen to keep going at this time, as we believe that this challenge will also open up new opportunities.
We are keen to hear from you on how to make the See Through Café (virtual edition) meaningful for artists and for audiences, so we would like to invite you to share your ideas and vision and to discuss possible ways to collaborate.
We stand for openness and mutual support, our principle is to see through the stereotypes and imposed categories, and we want to give a platform for those who have an interest in showcasing diversity in the Irish artistic and cultural landscape. If you would like to have a cup of tea with us, please RSVP by clicking the button below and we will send you a Zoom link on Monday afternoon.
Looking forward to our conversations!
