Fundit campaign in support of Mother Tongues Festival

Mother Tongues needs your support to host its first festival which will take place on the 24th of February 2018 on UNESCO International Mother Language Day, in the Outhouse, Capel Street, Dublin 1.

The festival features a dynamic programme of performances from across the arts and sciences – visual arts, dance, music, poetry, scientific workshops, theatre, and more.  It will be a fantastic opportunity for family and friends to come together to celebrate Ireland’s linguistic diversity.  This is your chance to support Mother Tongues and make sure the festival is a resounding success!

We are creating a fundraising campaign on Fundit.ie where you can contribute to making our festival a reality, and it will be live from the 7th December. However, Fundit.ie offers an all or nothing service, which means that in order to obtain ANY of your generous contributions, we MUST reach our funding target.

We need to raise 3,000 euro to make this dream come true. Each contributor will receive a reward for their generosity. The range of awards that we offer would make great Christmas presents for your bilingual families and friends, or anyone who is interested in languages! (You will see the full list of rewards on our Fundit page).

The following renowned musicians and performers are confirmed: Su Garrido Pombo with the Irish poet Keith Payne, Carlinhos Cruz, and Esosa. The festival programme also includes a Flamenco workshop, a “cupcake science” workshop, multilingual poetry, art workshops, and many other activities for adults and children alike, in languages such as Irish, Portuguese, Romanian, Polish, Turkish, Chinese and more!

We thank you for your generosity and support, and we look forward to celebrating International Mother Language Day with you at the Mother Tongues Festival!

Thank you, Go raibh maith agat, Grazie, Gracias, Danke, Dzieki, Merci, 謝謝
